LB#18 Roles and Functions of an Educational Media Center

I learned from this lesson that EMC ( Educational Media Center) is a basic requirement for a school to render quality service that can help other schools to fulfill its mission and vision and also to promote the full effective use of educational media. EMC serves a myriad of roles: center of resources; laboratory for learning; agent of teaching; service agency; coordinating agency; recreational reading center and a stepping stone to other resources of the community. I also learned that what are those evaluation question for a functional EMC according to Lucido and Borabo, 1997 and its all about the institutional media services, media and instruction, classrooms facilities, and media program.

I can apply my learning to my chosen field by improving my learning's about technology/instructional media so that if I am in the classroom I will serve as EMC to my students so that i can promote the full effective use of educational media and make their learning more efficient and effective
.

I also learn about thier mission, vision in teaching and learning. The services they given to a teacher also.It is so important to have EMC in  our school because it provides ssisstance to the students as well as to the teachers. It uses a variety of promotional techniques to encourages the use of materials r recreational purposes. It is also the stepping stone top other community resource centers and to diserable lifetime intellectual habits,it introduces the students the resources available in other community resource centers. It encourages to use in adult or younger lives. It also help us or the teachers to improve the teaching-learning process by making your lessons more interactive, collaborative, interesting and authentic

LB#17.Assessment In A Contrutivist Technology-Supported Learning

In this lesson,Assessment in a Contrutivist, Technology-Supported Learning I learn that as a teacher you must teach your students how to learn not just on what to learn because as in rel situations now the students study and learn based on the way they are being tested. The students must learn from and with technology, because as we all know that technologies now a days is the source of information that your students learn from in the some way that a teacher also are source of information. But as of now many teachers used the traditional paper-and-pencil tests in assessing the learnings of their students. So a teacher must reconstruct again the ways and strategies she/he will be use to evaluate learning to the students so that their will be improvements in process or in performance assessment.I also learn that assessment in a technology supported environment necessarily includes display of skillful and creative use of technologies, old and recent, because that is what is naturally expected of using the real world or situations. As of now I must be computer literate and fluent so that we can't be getalost and become helpless.from a contractivist leraning,it is an active constructive, intentional, authentic and cooperative process.as a teacher we must give more focus on how we dealour studentson this reallife settings.I will use my learnings intomy choosen field by changing the traditional ways of teaching mu students.I will improve and reconstruct   the ways of assessing  to evalaute learnings in my students so that they can use their learning about others in this real worl situations to be effective and well done job in the future.

LB#16.USING THE PROJECT-BASED LEARNING MULTIMEDIA AS A TEACHER-LEARNING STRATEGY

In this Lesson,I learned that in everything we door we want to accomplish there must always a plan ands steps so that you will be successful in making the things you want to door your goals. But before that es a teacher, we all know that we must use different teaching strategies as we clarify our goals and objectives in giving a tasks to our students. If you give them projects or research you must give the direct and clear objectives or instructions so that they can easily get what you want them to make. And we also give them a space and time to do their tasks in order that your students will engage or collect many informations and gather more ideas about their presentations. In giving this tasks also a teacher must assist her students, and if the given tasks or project is done you as a teacher allow the students to show their accomplishments to the class so that they will have the courage to the tasks properly. After that if they have already finished I allow them to present the accomplishments they have done in the class. So that they can experience memorable about their project.

Learning Bank Nunber 15-Project- based learning and multimedia: What it is?

I learn about this chapter that I get the answer about the elements of project-based and multimedia learning, why use project-based multimedia learning and also the disadvantages of the use of this. In this, it can do most things or learning's in our students. As a teacher we must give our pupils the rights or freedom on how they will do, designs, and creaste their projects in very nice way or one. As stated in this chapter the students do not learn simply by using multimedia produced by others, but they learn by creating it themselves. So with this a pupil can learn nt just what is the tecaher tells or teach to them but they can learn also by their own potential, discoveries, and also by their own hard work. It is important that we give our pupil activities or project by the use of our technologies now a days, because we don't know what happens next the possibilities that our students will be the one the owner or author of multimedia product at the end. I can also use this to my chosen field by giving my students a task that they can use for their own future and I will allow them to learn also with their own discoveries. I also apply this learning so that I can make or create a future good producers about our technologies now a days.

Learning bank #14-Maximizing the use of overhead projector and the chalkboard

Of all the instructional materials used in a classroom, the chalkboard is the most available. While the overhead projector is another versatile equipment common today. This equipment when use properly and in inexpensive way we are able to realize our instructional objectives.Adopting them in our teaching will make the learning of our students lasting and relevant.

Learning bank #13-Teaching with Visual Symbols

This may come in form of drawing.cartoons,diagram,.chart,map,and graph. The proper use of visual symbols will
contribute to optimum learning. This collection, preparation and use of visual aids depends on your creativity and resourcefulness. This visual symbol when used will keep your teaching crispy and fresh.Without realizing on the visual symbols alone, you may have an array of teaching materials to choose from.

Learning bank #12-The power of film,Video and TV in the classroom

This instructional tools when used appropriately and moderately, they can make the learning process more concrete, lively, colorful and interactive. These also  make learning fun and enjoyable. As a teacher also, these will give us opportunity as teachers to view ourselves while teaching for purpose of self improvement.Excessive TV viewing also works against the development of the child's ability to be creative and imaginative .In which also TV is the greater influence and source of violence in which showing peoples aggressive behavior.

Learning bank #11-Making the most of Community Resources and Field Trips

For me,field trips are good because in this we have rich opportunity to gain memorable experiences which our learning will lasts.Field trips bring us to the outside world beyond the four walls of the classroom. It can bring a lot of realization that may lead in changes in attitudes and insights towards a thing. This will answer our curiosity, build new experience and a sense of fulfillment. Thus, field trips also have disadvantages despite of its educational benefits.Field trips are expensive and requires much time and preparation.
